Answer the call. Save the NHS
The hated Health and Social Care Bill could become law as early as next week. This means that there are only days to save the NHS as we know it, an NHS that is fair,
efficient and more popular with the public than ever before.
This Bill will change all that and create an NHS where competition will replace compassion and profit will be more important than patients.

999 Call To Save Our NHS
Friday, 16 March 2012
Message From
UNISON general secretary
Over the past year, we've worked hard to defeat the hated Health and Social Care Bill.
But the battle continues as the bill nears the end of its passage through Parliament.
We have only days to save our NHS, so I am asking you to take one last action.
The bill threatens to end the NHS as we know it, with competition replacing compassion and profit becoming more important than patients
. The bill has its third and final reading in the House of Lords on Monday 19 March.

Dear all, you may have read today's eFocus or seen the news on the UNISON website last Friday about the Bill: http://www.unison.org.uk/news/news_view.asp?did=7633. The note below is to give you more information.
At the end of last week Labour's health team advised that the end game around the Health Bill could be upon us quicker than previously thought, with the government prepared to accept the amendments made in the Lords so far so as to avoid any further debate in the Commons
