SECAmb UNISON members to be balloted on industrial action over pensions
Following the TUC Conference last week, Dave Prentis has announced that UNISON members will be balloted for industrial action over the threat to pensions.
If you're eligible for the local government pension scheme, NHS pension scheme or civil service pension scheme then in the next month you'll receive a ballot paper and UNISON are urging you to VOTE YES'.

THE BATTLE IS ON TO SAVE OUR NHS
Events took place throughout the South East last Weekend.
UNISON, the UK's largest union, urged its members to get out and join the battle to save the NHS, ahead of the third reading of the Health and Social Care Bill next week.
Across the Region, health members are teaming up with local labour party members and running street stalls and leafleting as part of the NHS Big Weekend.
Candlelight vigil for the NHS

UNISON General Secretary, Dave Prentis, will join health workers, patients and the public, in a candlelight vigil outside parliament today (7 September).
The vigil is being held to draw attention to the damaging consequences of the Health and Social Care Bill, particularly the removal of the private patient income cap, and the threat of privatisation. The union is warning Lib Dem MPs, that by voting for the bill, they are running the risk of voting themselves out of office for a generation.

The battle to save the NHS enters a new phase this week as campaigning is stepped up before the return of the Health and Social Care Bill to Parliament.
It's vital to say 'No' to this bill for many reasons, but here are just three to remember:
Our money will be wasted on private profit and decisions made by management consultants;
there'll be more red tape, with costs to the NHS and taxpayers rising as hospitals are tied up in bureaucracy.
there'll be worse patient care, with postcode lotteries, hospitals closing, fewer treatments and longer waiting times;
